    Alan Green

Alan Green is the Senior Resident Director-Wealth Management for the Southbury Merrill Lynch office where he began his career in 2000. In addition to this role, Alan is the senior partner at Green Wealth Management Group, a five person financial advisory practice at Merrill Lynch. Alan is primarily responsible for creating the wealth management planning strategies that are used throughout every client engagement. To further that role, Alan earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) certification offered through the IMCA organization in conjunction with the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. The CPWA certification is an advanced credential created specifically for financial advisors who work with high net worth families ($5 million +), focusing on the life cycle of wealth: accumulation, preservation, and distribution. Alan laid the groundwork for his CPWA certification when he earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ certification over a decade earlier in his career. Alan is a graduate of the University of Connecticut at Storrs with a degree in Economics. In addition to his role on the Board of Directors for the St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury, he is also a voting member of the United Way of Greater Waterbury. Alan is a lifelong swimmer and lives in Woodbury, CT with his wife, Kathy, and three children, KC, Brayden, and Stella.

Alan joined the St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury Board of Directors to follow his Catholic faith and help those who are less fortunate. He believes strongly in giving back to the community and setting a positive role model for his employees and family.
