    Jemery Araujo

    Jemery Araujo is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Torrco, a Waterbury based wholesale distributor for plumbing, piping, HVAC and kitchen and bath fixtures. She has over 25 years of experience in Finance and Banking. Prior to joining Torrco, Jemery spent 20 years at People’s United Bank in various roles ending with Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis. She also served as the Treasurer of the People’s United Bank Foundation for several years.

    She comes from a humble upbringing. Born in Puerto Rico, her family relocated to Connecticut when she was in elementary school in search of better opportunities. Through hard work and dedication, she graduated with high honors from Hill Regional Career High School in New Haven in 1999. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics with a concentration in Accounting from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven in 2003.

    Jemery enjoys spending time with her family and giving back to the community. She values and fosters community involvement, especially with her teenage daughter who recently received recognition as an Exemplary Volunteer in the town of Wallingford.

    St. Vincent DePaul’s mission resonates with Jemery as her passion has always been to help those less fortunate and provide them with opportunities similar to those that were provided to her and her family.
