    Paul Scampolino

"Are you hungry? Come on in. Sit. I'll make you a dish." These are the words Paul grew up hearing from his beloved grandmother who lived with him and his family since he was nine months old. She was known to all as "Grammy." She made everyone feel welcome, and everyone was well fed. This is what Paul and his staff strive to do every day for the hungry people in our area. His entire professional life has been in food service, from pot washer to Certified Executive Chef. Every day, approximately 450 freshly cooked lunches and dinners are prepared by Paul and his dedicated staff and volunteers. Lunch is served seven days a week, to all who visit the soup kitchen. Dinners are prepared for guests of our homeless shelter. Through Paul's example and guidance, each person is treated with dignity and respect. Everyone who goes there has a story. Everyone is someone's mother, father, son, or daughter. And, everyone is a child of God. Whether it's at the soup kitchen, or in his community, through his membership in the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Paul's heart has always been in serving others.
