PROGRAMS

  • Thrift Store

Our Thrift Store operates six days per week and has become an essential service for those living in poverty in our community. Based on need, it provides at low cost or no cost clothing, household items, furnishings, and other goods to poor individuals and families living throughout the area.

  • Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry

Since 1981, our Soup Kitchen has been serving individuals and families experiencing poverty, hunger, and homelessness a nutritionally balanced, hot noon-time meal seven days a week. Our Food Pantry, which also operates in the same location, distributes weekly groceries to the area poor at no charge.

  • Homeless Shelter and
    Resource Center

Since 1984, our shelter has been a refuge for thousands of individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The largest program of its kind in the State of Connecticut, the Shelter is able to serve up to 126 people each night. Our shelter services go beyond a hot shower, a clean bed, and a safe place to restore.
