    Scott Allen

Scott Allen is a 33-year veteran of higher education in the state of Connecticut, holding leadership positions within Finance & Accounting, Administrative Services, Human Resources, Student Life, and Athletics.  In his 23rd year at Post University (formerly Teikyo Post University), Scott is currently the Senior Vice President, overseeing Student Life, Athletics, Facilities, Campus Safety/Security, Food Service, Transportation, and Mail Services, while also responsible for oversight of the capital expense budget.  In addition, Scott works on other campus related and community projects.

Scott began his career in higher education at the University of New Haven in West Haven, CT as an accounting supervisor in the Accounting Office.  He played a key role in the expansion of the department and was promoted to Assistant Controller, a position he held until his departure from UNH, after 10 years, to begin the next chapter of his higher education career at Teikyo Post University.  Hired as the Controller, Scott earned a promotion to Associate Vice President for Finance within his first six months, followed by a second promotion a year later to the role of Vice President for Finance.  In this role, Scott led several teams, including Accounting, Human Resources, Facilities, Information Technology, and Campus Safety.  He also stewarded the financial transition from Teikyo Post to Post University, a three-year process that resulted in an acquisition by Generation Partners, still the current ownership group today.

In the years that followed at Post, Scott held various titles, including Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer, which he held until November 2020 when he was promoted to the current Senior Vice President role.  During that tenure, Scott had fiduciary responsibility for the university, and watched the institution grow from several hundred students to over 15,000, strengthening itself financially along the way.   A member of the Executive Leadership Team and Operational Leadership Team, Scott has contributed to the transformation of Post University to the Waterbury landmark it has become today.  Scott currently sits on the Board of the St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury, was a past member of the Post College Foundation and has worked with the Waterbury Chamber of Commerce and the United Way over the years.

Mr. Allen earned a Bachelor of Science in Management, with honors distinction, from Central Connecticut State University and received his Master of Business Administration, also with honors distinction, from the University of New Haven.  He was a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society for business majors.
