Paul Healey
Paul Healey was a Project Manager for the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council Fraternal Operations department. He is currently retired. Prior to working for the knights of Columbus, he spent 25 years with The Hartford in various IT positions from Programmer through Systems Analyst, Program Manager and Resource Manager. He started his career at Yale University’s School of Medicine as a Fund Accountant. Healey is a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, Western Connecticut State University receiving a BA with a concentration in Human Resource Management. This was followed by an MBA from the University of New Haven with a concentration Management Information Systems. He also holds a Master Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University and holds a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Paul joined the Board of Directors of the St Vincent DePaul Mission in 1984 serving in several capacities including Secretary of the Corporation.
Paul is a 2012 Recipient of the Father Philip J Cascia Service Award from the St Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury, 2019 Connecticut State Council Knights of Columbus Family of the Year Award and the 2021 Knight of the Year Award. Paul is heavily involved with the Knights of Columbus on the local and state levels and currently serves as the Executive Secretary for the Connecticut State Council. He is also an associate member of the Knights of Malta.
Paul and his family are involved with the Autism Spectrum Resource Center of Wallingford and have helped to build a Hospital and an Elementary School in Obieke Nigeria. The Elementary School is named after his son Daniel.
Paul remembers Father Cascia often quoting the Corporal Works of Mercy as the guiding principles of the St Vincent DePaul Mission, Feed the hungry, Give drink to the thirsty, Shelter the homeless, Visit the sick, Visit the prisoners, Bury the dead, Give alms to the poor. These principles have guided his life.
