  • Biography

    Daniel Ferrucci

    Born and raised in the City of Waterbury. I attended and graduated from Saint Joseph’s Grammar School (1985) and Holy Cross High School (1989). Thereafter, continuing my education, and graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Western Connecticut State University (1996).

    I was a member of the Army National Guard where I retired with the rank of First Sergeant after 26 years. Served on several tours in the United States as well as out of the country deployments, to include Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006.

    I joined the Waterbury Police Department in January of 1998. During my tenure, I was promoted to Detective in the Vice and Intelligence Division in March of 2006. I received another promotion in October of 2006 to the rank of Sergeant, and subsequently assigned to the Patrol Division. Later, in July 2011, I was assigned as a Supervisor in the Detective Bureau, then reassigned as a Supervisor in the Vice and Intelligence Division in August of 2016. I became the Aide to the Assistant Deputy Chief in April of 2017. Then in June 2018, I served as the Aide to the Chief of Police. I was promoted to Deputy Chief in March 2021. I graduated from Class #279 of the FBI National Academy in March 2020 and he has been awarded multiple departmental commendations throughout my career.

    I am married to Kathleen Ferrucci for over 12 years.
